More from the clinic

Women in the maternal ward

An example of the medical records.  Everything is also computerized.

This sweet little girl is being treated for malnutrition.  You can see the signs of malnutrition when you look at the children:  the puffy "chipmunk" cheeks, the shiny skin, and often edema (swelling) in the ankles.

Thankfully she can be easily treated with a substance called Plumpynut and fliuds.

The lab where blood work and testing is done.  They have many of the machines they need here.

Part of the pharmacy

Dziwe, one of the doctors, explaining the clinic and the pharmacy

The pediatric ward is very cheerful and painted with pictures on the walls to stimulate the children.  Most children do not have books and rarely see images depicted. I handed out our pajamas here - pictures to follow.
